Use with the SOLO post base bracket. The Post Base Anchor allows you to anchor your pergola structure directly into a grassed area of your yard. It will help prevent lateral movement and twisting.
PLEASE READ
- DO NOT USE IT FOR FENCING OR SINGLE POSTS.
- It is to be used at a minimum for a four-post structure, and one for every 6x6 SOLO.
- The anchors are not meant to be used in gravel type ground/surfaces.

- Wood
Shipping wood is costly. Most of the population has access to stores that sell wood locally where they live. Buying your lumber allows you the freedom to select the type of wood you want to use for your build and budget. There are also regional limitations for what kind of lumber is ideal for your build; different species of lumber would be used in tropical climate vs. a cold one.

Instructions
Post Base Ground Anchor BUILD
SECTION 1
Connect the two Christmas tree-looking pieces and slide them in through the top opening of the SOLO base bracket until the tabs of the anchor rest on the inside base of the SOLO (where the wood would rest if the anchors were not used).
SECTION 2
Next, place the square piece that came with the anchors on top of the crossed tree pieces of the anchor inside the SOLO bracket, this prevents the lumber from digging into the anchors.
SECTION 3
Depending on how hard the dirt/earth is, you can use a mallet on a scrap piece of lumber at least 18" in length (so the end that you will be hitting with the mallet is not close to the top of the Solo bracket) to assist with pounding the anchor into the ground.
*For harder earth/dirt, wet thoroughly before you begin.
They are not meant to be used in gravel type ground/surfaces.
